Also note that the shading is relative within the topic: the hardest of the x1000 questions is still much easier than finding 87% of a number!) I have also subtly colour-coded the questions so the teacher can instantly see the level of difficulty: 3 shades of blue, with the lightest representing easier questions and the darker shade representing the hardest questions. The questions are in a fairly random order, although I have often made 3 or 4 consecutive questions follow the same topic so the children get a chance to practise and get into a topic before the next topic comes along. It is designed to be a quiz quick that more able pupils should be able to do in their heads and less able pupils should be able to do in a reasonable amount of time on a whiteboard. Use this with a small group or a whole class to revise some of the basic skills on the KS2 SATs Maths Paper 1: Arithmetic. Instructions are provided on how to do this. Great for KS2 SATs preparation and revision. The sheet allows for identification of what the level of the question was that they struggled with. This allows you to quickly identify gaps and support children. Each day, the children or you can record on the QLA tracking sheet. Not only that but assessment tracking has also been provided for the daily practices. For example, with ‘Written Multiplication’, Level 1 includes two digits x one digit or three digits x one digit, Level 2 includes three digits x two digits and four digits x four digits and Level 3 includes multiplying whole numbers by decimals. Each test comes with a few questions from each challenge level so some questions are accessible to everyone whilst others will provide a challenge to your most able. With the daily practices, each question fits in an area:įor the majority of areas, three levels of questions have been provided. With both the full tests and the daliy practices, there are three different sizes for each test:Īll the questions on a page (or two on a page for the daily practices).Ī condensed version when compared to the real tests to save paper but still have that 'real test feel’įor the daily practices, the objectives and question types from genuine arithmetic tests have been spread out across sets of ten tests. The full tests look just like the real things and the composition of questions are based on the real thing too. The daily practices provide the ability to track the children’s confidence in different areas. This bundle includes 50 full tests (with 36 questions) to practice with as well as 100 daily arithmetic practices (with ten questions each) for your class. This took me a long time to create-I hope it's useful to you!
